Mycorrhiza is a micro-organism, which together with fung and bacteria contributes to an optimum soil life. Micosat F products consist of a select group of endo- or ecto-mycorrhizae, fungi and bacteria that are matched to the roots of the particular plant.

aardbeiAfter application of Micosat F in the ground, the Mycorrhizae grow and become a colony within about one week. The endo-mycorrhizae eventually develop a colony, that penetrate the roots of the plant to form a symbiosis. Once penetrated into the roots of the host plant, the mycorrhizae help the plant to absorb the nutrients better; such as nitrogen, potassium and phosphate. In addition, the plant extracts better the trace elements from the soil, such as magnesium, copper, zinc and iron.

The plant’s growth is stimulated by the mycorrhizae, which improves the root structures. The plant grows better and extends its roots (rhizosphere) considerably, which allows the plant to uptake more nutrients and water. The growth is much stronger and the plant is more resistant to diseases under the ground. This ultimately results in an increased yield, not only for strawberries, but also, for example, for other soft fruit such as raspberries and blackberries.

Micosat F has a number of products specifically for strawberries, raspberries and soft fruit:

Micosat F for planting
Micosat F UNO Granules 15-25 kg per ha. Improves the development of the roots

The Micosat F UNO granulate can be mixed with the soil compost. Within a short time, the mycorrhizae develop into a colony, which gives a growth spurt to the plant (plant cuttings). It is also possible to apply directly close to the roots by dipping into the granulates. Special gels are also available to help the granules stick to the roots.

Micosat F WP products can be dissolved in water, which can be sprayed onto existing plants, or it may be applied to the roots of the plants via drippers.
